Dr Katie Cook and Dr Lucy McKinnon are experienced doctors with over 25 years of clinical practice each. Both are Fellows of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) and hold postgraduate qualifications in adolescent health, reflecting a long-standing interest in the management of skin conditions such as acne and hormonal skin changes.

With additional training in skin cancer medicine, dermatology, and women’s health, Dr Cook and Dr McKinnon bring an understanding of the skin across all life stages. Their areas of interest include acne, rosacea, menopause-related skin changes, hair loss, and skin rejuvenation. They also have a professional interest in the safe application of non-surgical cosmetic treatments and how these can complement overall skin health and wellbeing.

As medical directors of Geelong & Surfcoast Skin, they provide clinical oversight, safety governance, and support for the clinic’s dermal clinician and cosmetic nurse injector. Their role ensures that all treatments are medically appropriate, ethically delivered, and aligned with AHPRA and national healthcare standards.
